PUBG Mobile Erangel 2.0 Map: What’s New

PUBG Mobile has made an announcement about the release of a new version of Erangel 2.0 Map in PUBG Mobile update. Tencent announced the release of Erangel 2.0 to “PUBG Mobile” last August. As the map’s name suggests, it is going to be a revamped version of the Erangel map — one of the very first battlegrounds introduced in the gaming franchise.

Erangel 2.0 map will first release in Game of Peace, the Chinese version of PUBG Mobile. If beta testing is successful in the Chinese version, the developers will then move globally with the updated map.


There is no official confirmation about Erangel 2.0 map, but very soon it will be released. Recently PUBG Mobile 0.19.0 beta update was released with so many new features, But in this beta update, there is no mention of Erangel 2.0.

  • Route Planner Markers
  • Secret Bunkers in buildings

Route Planner Markers

According to the report, players would be able to mark the waypoints in the map and then jump into a new game. Secondly, the upgraded Erangel map is expected to have better graphics, with the buildings and the other structures getting a more refined and detailed look. The improvements in the graphics may include the “ interiors of the house to the outlook of the houses”, plus “towers and multiple structures” too, says the report.

Ultra HD graphics settings

Ultra HD graphics settings option has been added to the beta version of Game for Peace. Notably, this feature is present in the global version of the main PUBG Mobile, but not the beta version.

Vehicle Control Customisation

This feature is said to give players more control over the button layout when driving. This will allow players to choose exactly where they want the controls to be when in a vehicle. Currently, players can only choose the type of driving controls they want in PUBG Mobile, but they cannot change those controls around.

New Graphics

The report also notes that Erangel 2.0 will feature improved graphics with a higher level of detail. It was noted that building interiors are more detailed, while some structures have been modified and colors tweaked
